Unknown Date Unknown Author

Broken dolium vessel used for infant burial (Tomb 37). The vessel was found incomplete with a rounded, cradle-like lower section (photo #1681) that the infant was laid in, covered on top by another large body-sherd of the vessel with other fragments stopping up the sides. This arrangement seems to have been intentional since no other dolia fragments are found nearby.
