Cut of unknown function, due to partial excavation; only small section extended beyond our limit of excavation. It's possible this was a grave cut, and the skeleton lies just to the north, but this seems unlikely as the bottom of the cut consists of large, irregular stones, actually very similar to the quarry debris just to the east. Alternatively this may be the cut of some sort of posthole, for a somewhat large timber support.
