With the removal of deposit SU 1307, deposit SU 1497, a semi-circular layer, was distinguished and removed, exposing the circular feature SU 1498 cut into the bedrock. This cut feature, SU 1498, seems to have been cult later by cut SU 1489 in which 1307 then accumulated. This circular cut (SU 1497) may have been made to hold a vessel to collect water from a roof. *The circular cut was discovered underneath SU 1307. After the removal of 1307 the circular cut was visible and part of its fill (SU 1497). This fill was different from SU 1307, the fill of the recut feature SU 1489, but probably also the result of some erosion, meaning that SU 1497 did not represent the original fill of this posthole.
