The SU is a layer of collapse. During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as the fill of an apparent spoliation cut between pavement SU 2035 and wall SU 2050. It extends along the cut through the wall and on top of the wellhead feature. Despite its spot date, it seems to coincide with the abandonment of the area in the mid-1st c. CE, as it covers the spoliation fill of the wellhead and sits at roughly the same level as SU 2006.
