The SU is probably a spoliation trench. During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as a spoliation cut which cut through pavement SU 2023 and the beaten earth floor SU 2046. This must have removed some desired feature in the space and probably took place at the same time as the spoliation of the feature on top of SU 2122.
