This layer of debris was possibly the preparation of a road surface, confined between the two parallel north-south walls (SU 2080, SU 2081). It covers the southwest basalt pavement (SU 2023) and in the remaining parts of the layer it covers directly the glareate road surface (SU 2093). During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as a post-abandonment layer covering the basalt road.
