Further excavation revealed that this is likely a higher level of feature 2851, a large, linear deposit of stone and waddle and daub that runs from roughly NE to SW across the courtyard's eastern limit. The function of this is not yet clear but these stones likely relate to a top layer that was already evident in 2017.
