Enviro: very rich in charcoal and bone fragments. Lots of plaster and slag.

Excavating layer revealed distinct differences between layers below. Dark compact layers were found on west and east side, between a brown friable layer with frequent colorful inclusions appeared. This layer was an accumulation of silt W of Room 2. The compact flat surface demonstrates that this area was trampled somewhat by the wheelbarrow in previous seasons.
