This appears to be a posthole, partly obfuscated by wall 3031. This posthole may belong to the earliest phase of Room 2, when walls 3029 and 3030 were first constructed in the late orientalizing period. It may also belong to one of the earlier phases of occupation, dating to the Iron Age, in which case, this cut can be connected to a hut.

The field directors identified a cut (3320) and fill (3319) along the western edge of wall 3096 in room 2, which seemed to continue beneath the wall. They considered the vertical orientation of a piece of travertine as indication of a posthole related to the Iron Age occupation of the site, but I was unable to observe a distinction between the fill and surrounding soil. I do not think this was a fill, just some scattered stones.
