The results from enviro have confirmed that this deposit contains a large quantity of seeds. This suggests this area, and the postholes beneath it, were used as middens, following the removal of the posts. May have marked the transiition from the hut into the stone building, where the empty postholes were reused as middens, before the surfaces surrounding it were leveled and the floor of the building established.
