Interpretations

Interpretations
Unknown Date Unknown Author

After further study, it is apparent that this is a preparation layer of compacted tufo for the floor 435, possibly to raise the overall floor level as part of the rearrangement of the space.

Unknown Date Unknown Author

Appears to be a crushed gray tufo surface, but extremely pitted and with an uneven surface. Considerable smaller than SU427 to the south, with special note that it is considerably narrower.
