After study, it was determined that this fill of cut SU491 is likely part of a group of scattered cuts or depression in the bedrock, tentatively interpreted as postholes in the Iron Age and Archaic phase of area A.
Fill of a truncated posthole. The excavated cut SU128 appears to have cut SU491 - at least it seems to be the case, based on how SU128 was excavated. A suspicion remains that SU490 and SU491 are later than SU128 and its fills.
