This tufo pavement was used as a floor surface in Room 15. The grooving in the middle signifies the use of a door or shuttering of some sort. The threshold SU 5451 south of the pavement contains similar grooving. The potential function of Room 15 was as a taberna and the grooving on the pavement indicates a use of shuttery or door that was typical with taberna construction. Probably also to be associated with a fragmentary tufo slab SU 5523 a few meters to the west.
