The continuation of wall 5308 as the northern limit of room 6, clearly in phase with the rest of the ashlar construction of the complex on this middle terrace. The rectangular cutout of this block of this block - made to accommodate step 5491- seems to be original. Together with the step, this seems to have been an important point of transition in movement from central courtyard, into room 6, and then toward the staircase and the upper terrace to the north. Excavations to the west of wall 5302 may facilitate a better understanding of the importance of this space within complex as a whole.
