The nature, purpose, and chronology of the opening that this structure fills is unknown at the moment, but does not seem to be original based on the irregular nature of the opening, which appears to be a cut through the pre-existing blocks. Further investigation is needed.
This feature is plugging up an opening between wall 5686 and 5748. This plugging is likely related to a re-arranging and re-use of room 19 in a later phase, perhaps during the time that the orange circular clay feature was in use (SU 5720).
