Tile floor placed in bottom of cut 5833 to waterproof the drain. The western channel slopes down to the north, originating under the slabs at the southern excavation limit, which presumably (due to their alignment) cover a channel coming from under the street and/or baths to the east. In the northwest corner a drain spills from the street into the drain. The tiles form a slope downward to the east in the northern channel. Though its eastern extent was not preserved and was not fully excavated it presumably connects to the eastern channel of the room, forming a unified system organized to flush three sides of the room with what must have been a steady and perhaps forceful amount of water. The design suggests that the room functioned in its latest phase as a latrine.
