6138 appears to be in phase with the cocciopesto floor (6146). It is possible that walls 6133, 6134, 6136, 6137, and 6245 formed the original boundaries of a space with an entrance between 6136 and 6134, plaster wall facing throughout, and a floor composed of half cocciopesto (now extant in 6146) and half mosaic (evidenced by 6172 and 6246). The lack of surviving plaster in the northern half of room G14 supports the idea that it is not in phase with wall 6132 and the space’s related reorganization.
