This block represents the northern continuation of ashlar wall 7142. The fact that it extends into Room 1 north of the line of ashlar wall 7036 (but probably originally not much further than the preserved block) most likely indicates that, in the original ashlar phase, it served as the western limit of some kind of entrance into Room 1 from the space to the south, between ashlar walls 7036 and 7057.
