It remains to be determined whether this block belonged to a wall that was part of the original ashlar phase. In favor of this is the fact that the tufo slab floor (7320) appears to abut this block, where the original lip of the 'shower dish' is preserved at the western limit. Also, it aligns with an early red tufo wall to the north (7391), which might suggest that - like at the eastern limit of Room H15, where wall 7322 follows the line of the earlier wall 7378 - this was a rebuilding in the second ashlar phase of an earlier wall. Further exploration of this part of Room H15 is necessary.
A degraded tufo block. Measurably above the tufo slab floor level. Plainly a different kind of tufo than 7323. Given the different levels and compositions 7326 was most likely not deposited in phase with 7323.
