Although only very partially visible, this block appears to relate to more fully exposed features to the west (block 7149 and base 7147). These would constitute an east-west wall, which appears to continue southward a line of rooms belonging to the ashlar phase along the eastern side of the piazza. Monumental wall 7078 running north-south forms their back (eastern) wall, while the rooms are divided by a series of east-west walls, two of which end in tufo bases (for columns or pilasters) at the west: from north to south these are 7097/7143, 7098/7146 (ending in base 7145), and 7338/7149 (ending in base 7147). It remains to be determined by further excavation the depth of this wall, the preservation of its western extent, and if anything is left of the phases of the rooms to which it related, either to the north (south of wall 7098) or to the south.
