This ashlar wall in blocks of soft red tufo appears to belong to the first monumental phase of the piazza space, together with walls 7377, 7378, 7391, 7392. The general alignment appears to be that of the grid plan and the later mid-Republican ashlar buildings.
The wall is at a significantly lower level than the average level, indicating that it is earlier. The later wall 7375 with the same N-S alignment was built right above the wall, so thus earlier tufo ashlar wall is the reason why the western wall of Room 15 does not line up with the northern walls of Room 14 and 13.
