This wall seems to represent a key piece of evidence regarding the early phases and development of the piazza space. Like wall 7405 to the west, with which it is aligned, this wall (at least the foundations that remain) was partially covered by the basalt pavement of the piazza. The important question remains as to its original extent: does it meet wall 7405 to the west, and thus did it originally completely enclose this area of the piazza, preventing access on an axis that later was clearly open and well used (based on the ruts in the basalt pavement)? And how far did this wall originally extend to the east, since no clear traces are visible along the northern limit of Room H-15? The alignment of this wall with the apparent original southern limit of the long north-south ashlar wall to the east that bounded the piazza (7078, later plugged by blocks 7321) is further suggestive that it represents an important alignment for the configuration of the ashlar phase of this complex.
