Fill of a large robbing trench (SU1209) related to the abandonment and subsequent collapse and robbing of the remaining structures.

Unknown Date Unknown Author

Layer over crushed tufo floor. Large concentrations of animal bones, metal (nails), large pottery sherds and the similar silt composition suggests a relationship between 1146 and 1164. However, 1146 additionally contained a large concentration of glass vessels. Concentration of objects and vicinity to "courtyard" (1177 & 1165) suggest it may be a rubbish area.
