cut into bedrock of approx. 7cm width, ca 4cm depth. The cut seems to correspond more or less with the alignment of wall 1185, as far as can be judged from the little part of this cut/groove we see in the current state of excavation 2010. During 2011 GPR season the grave was revisited. Channel 1310 appears to have been largly, or completely covered by wall 1309, based on survuvung tufo blocks. Thus it could have served as an invisible drain to collect condensation dripping off the bottom of the wall. Pit 1315 may rapresent attachment point far this drain. The numberless channel running behind wal 1308 may have served the same purpose, although it does not appear close enough to the surviving blocks to have been covered by them. This open channel, together with the location of pit 1315 inside the room formed by walls 1308 and 1309 argues for its function as an open courtyard.
