Further study confirmed that this quarrying debris was likely deposited back into the quarry cut (SU1409) after the abandonment of the quarry. The exact timing of this is unclear due to the minimal ceramic material found in the quarry and its relative position between an un-dateable accumulation layer and the bedrock.

Unknown Date Unknown Author

Fill of cut 1483, soil placed above tiles (most likely a burial) after deposition. later above this level on the west the sewer embankment was placed (SU 1384). This later sewer explains why the fill to the east is less thick than to the west. In the east the fill was cut down into to make the drainage channel. Actually it is to assume that the grave, of which the fill is described here, was dug after the abandonment of the sewer.
