The SU is an oval pit of unknown function. It has extremely dense inclusions, including frequent rubble and significant fragments of multiple amphorae. The size, density and quantity of artifacts indicates intentional back fill, not simply accumulation. It is possible that the rubble and plaster inclusions represent debris from the destruction of Space 5's wall and ledges (i.e. SU 2231, SU 2232 and/or SU 2233). The fill is not completely excavated. The eastern portion of the bottom still contains rubble. The sides of the cut are at risk of collapsing. Spot dating places the deposit in the 4th c. CE. This makes it extremely unlikely that the deposit is connected with the destruction of Space 5.
