After excavating the northernmost limit, it was realized that the channel continued considerably to the south. Therefore SU 2303 was extended. The entirety of the channel was re-photoed and shot in, and this new SU sheet was started. The material in the fill provided no indication of the channel's function (possibly modern?). An unexcavated portion of the fill exists north of drainage channel (SU 2211). During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as a spoliation cut.
