The purpose of the cut is unclear. Worked tufo stone (two large stones) was found inside of the cut, which were worked in a similar way to those in other places onsite, like the southern part of Area E and the collar of a cistern at the back of the house in Area C. The bottom of the cut is heavily disturbed by animal holes.
