The SU was excavated by trowel on 28/07/2015.
Position
The SU is located north of wall 2306 and tufo block 2434, and northwest of wall 2278.
Shape
The shape is linear.

During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as possibly belonging to spaces on the exterior of the Phase 1A building. It runs east to west along the southern wall foundations 2437 and 2484.

The SU is a deposit of accumulation. This deposit appears to cover most of the space south of the linear feature 2437, across most of the area south of the courtyard.
