Fill of robber trench that cut through road surfaces beneath. The southern limit appears to extend into the s. baulk. Notable fill inclusions are ceramic and architectural decoration that are hellenistic in date. Stone collapse of sewer and house material that corresponds with republican house from area C. Seems to represent republican occupation of city. In fill was also tomb 46, as yet, undated, but points to post-abandoment phase of this area.
