This is originally the cut of a posthole, probably connected to two additional post holes in the northeast corner of room 2, SUs 3588, 3545 and 3501. Seems to have initially comprised part of a double post hole, along with cut 3588. It seems that the southern limit of 3588 and northern limit of 3602 was, at some later point, repaired or created by inserting fragments of tufo and ceramic. These may have been subsequently used as separate post holes or as middens. Further excavation of the fill of 3602 will revise this theory.
