Linear spread running roughly east- west of predominately tufo and basalt ranging in size from fist sized to large boulders. Two boulders could not be removed during excavation of wall. It runs from beyond the eastern excavation limit to the road, and covers wall 4040 and the tufo paving stones 4041. It may be a retaining or terrace wall, though due to irregular construction and as it fills cut SU 4026 it may simply be a filling material for the cut, which may be a drainage channel. This feature clearly belongs to a later phase of Area E, as the construction cut 4026 cuts through both the road and its east retaining wall. On july 26th 2011 one tufo boulde on west was removed by Nicola Terrenato and others. Rest of construction cut 4026 cleaned in this part.
