SU 5050 appears to be a fill of a construction trench created during the construction of wall SU 5007. The fill seems to be part of the original construction activity as the composition differs from that of the fill that cuts into the deposit (SU 5028/5027). In addition, the white chalky material that was found in the construction backfill of wall 5007 was not found elsewhere in the area with the exception of backfill of wall 5006 along the southwest edge of the area. This suggests the fill is the same and was undisturbed.

*Note: SU 5050 was not excavated to its full depth in the 2012 season due to safety concerns about the stability of wall 5007.
