This ashlar wall constitutes one of the older phases of the area. Assuming that it does indeed continue under SU 5318 and is the same wall as SU 5337, it would have enclosed a large building extending up from the area urbana and into the northern section of F-south. Considering the length of the entire wall (including SU 5337), it is likely that it is the exterior wall of a large building which extended from the road up to the north end of F-south. The rooms of this building are much better preserved north of wall 5318, where fewer features of later phases were built
