This cut was identified in 2014 but not sketched or shot it. Subsequent scaffolding put in place for the conservation of SU5580 made it impossible to investigate the area further in 2015.

The E and W limits of this cut match well what seem to be the limits of the cistern underneath the slab floor (SU 5662) in room 16. This suggests that this cut may be an extension of this same cistern which was later filled. It also appears that the cut below the drain cover (cut 5752, drain cover 5669) may extend N to meet this cut and fill, thus connecting all three features into one water system. The fill of this cut was not, however, excavated in 2014, so its relationship to the surrounding features is not fully clear. NOT EXCAVATED IN 2014.
