Structure Description
SU5874 consists of a floor preparation for floor 5850. It is constructed with a white-gray mortar matrix with tufo cobbles as agregate. The floor preparation continues to the edge of cut 5891, and therefore overlies wall 5890.

Interpretations

2015-08-05 Benjamin Murray Ioset

SU5874 represents a layer of floor preparation laid down prior to the construction of floor 5850. Due to its small size and position next to (and underlying) the tufo ashlar 5782, it was decided not to excavate the layer.
