These are red tufo slabs, similar to 5877, which seem part of the earlier phases of room 22. They are however even more degraded than 5877, perhaps due to their close proximity to two drainage channels, one on each side (E & W). Most likely part of an older floor surface, which might have been damaged at some point to construct or repair the drainage system of the room.
