6132 appears to have been constructed in phase with the tile and marble surfaces (6154, 6155, and 6158) that lie east of the cut cocciopesto floor. It seems likely that 6132 was built first on top of the still-extant mosaic floor (6172), then the mosaic floor was removed, then tile and marble fragments were laid down on top of the mosaic floor's preparation layer.
A later addition to the room, perhaps to reinforce wall 6133 or cover a degrading earlier wall facing. This wall also seems to have covered an earlier mosaic floor, given that it covers a row of tesserae.
