The construction of 6131, 6171, 6140, and 6139 appears to have been part of an effort to partition a larger space that originally encompassed rooms G14 and G10 and was likely delimited by wall 6132 to the north, 6134 and 6136 to the south (with an entry between them), and 6137 to the south, which was truncated prior to the construction of 6131. 6131 likely truncates or sits atop a mosaic floor that originally filled this larger space, now only surviving in SU 6172 and in the northwest corner of room G10.
This wall forms eastern limit of room 14, equals other two opus vittatum walls in this room and seems to be part of an effort to enclose an originally larger space
