This mosaic floor seems be in phase with the obliterated opus reticulatum walls 6265 and 6266. It would also therefore be in phase with other features in room G-9, such as the cocciopesto floor (6191) and mosaic fragments in that space (6215 and 6206) but this needs further investigation since at first sight the patterns do not appear to match. The presence of such fine mosaics has led us to interpret this area as possibly a private bathing complex.
