This appears to be a deposit connected with the spoliation of the site following the abandonment of the buildings. Many of the stones are in fact portions of column drums, which were robbed of their facing (or this facing had decayed). The columns and other stones then appear to have been rolled downslope and left behind in a convenient spot, at the juncture between Room I-12 and I- 8* (to be numbered).
