This is a wall plug that fills what was once a doorway between rooms I-19 and room I-5. This was originally a doorway in the original phase of the construction of the building in the western sector of Area I 2017. When the structure was reconstructed, probably some time in the later imperial period, the doorway was blocked by the construction of this wall.
This SU abuts both 8077 and 8075 to the south and north, respectively, suggesting that it was part of a later construction effort to plug a hallway or other open doorway that originally allowed access through the space. The irregular facing of opus incertum does not seem to match any other nearby walls, also suggesting an ad hoc construction at a later time.
