SU 8398 is a small, thin, mortared wall which served as the eastern limit of a small signinum basin (as yet unexcavated) in Room I-20. There is a hole in wall 8340 directly above this basin feature connecting the basin in Room I-22 to it; liquid would have flowed from Room I-22 to I-20.
Wall repurposed for lining a basin for production activities. In conjunction with walls 8340, 8397, and 8396, 8398 forms a basin-like structure to be further excavated in a future season.
