Interpretations

Interpretations
Unknown Date Unknown Author

Grave fill, located immediately below tile SU1041 and marble SU1042 cappuccina capping. Layer thought to have been a deliberate deposition of silt, possibly to facilitate the construction of the overlying cappuccina capping. (Water percolated silting accumulation thought unlikely, as the tomb was laid under a compact stone and mortar capping).
