The base of a foundation wall. Due to similarities in alignment and building materials with wall 2051, 2052, 2053, 2071; the approximate date is 1st century BC. After a reinterpretation a new conclusion suggests that 2259 is in fact two walls, the second being a new SU 2277. The difference of rock shape and size helps support this theory as well as the perpendicular wall, SU 2260, cutting the two walls, SU 2260, cutting the two walls SU 2259 and 2277. The rocks appear to be placed and sautered on the N and S sides on SU 2259 and because 2277 does not have a similar orientation it suggests they are different walls. The dimensions of wall 2259 have therefore been redefined.
