Wall foundation forming a corner. East limit of East-West arm suggests intentional cut, perhaps as threshold, together with the West limit of 2274. Truncated at South limit of North-South wall by construction cut 2285 for wall 2259. Abutted by floor 2272 to the North. Together with walls 2274 and 2276, this wall delimited a room that seems to have opened off of the Southside of the atrium (room C7). The stratigraphical relationship of this wall and the remains of the gray tufo wall to the North is uncertain; they are on slightly different alignments, but must at least belong to the same phase, based on the fact that cocciopesto floor 2272 abuts them both.
