Interpretations

Interpretations
2020-06-15 BrittanyProffitt

During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as either an abandonment deposit or leveling deposit sitting between the Phase 1B and 2 buildings. Because of the compressed stratigraphy between the two phases, it is not possible to isolate a single function for this deposit.

2015-07-14 Constantinos Demetral

The SU is an accumulation layer in the southwest corner.

2015-07-14 J Troy Samuels

The SU is a deposit of yellow soil with stone inclusions, possibly related to leveling fills of the later Republican structure.
