Interpretations

Interpretations
2020-06-15 BrittanyProffitt

During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as either an abandonment deposit or leveling deposit sitting between the Phase 1B and 2 buildings. Because of the compressed stratigraphy between the two phases, it is not possible to isolate a single function for this deposit.

2015-07-17 J Troy Samuels

The SU is possibly floor leveling for the later Republican structure.

2015-07-16 Christian Axelgard

This layer represents a colluvial deposit between the wall to the south and the linear rock feature to the north, possibly associated with drainage for a floor preparation once above it.
