During post-excavation study, this feature was reinterpreted as either an abandonment deposit or leveling deposit sitting between the Phase 1B and 2 buildings. Because of the compressed stratigraphy between the two phases, it is not possible to isolate a single function for this deposit.

2015-07-26 J Troy Samuels

This deposit appears to be leveling used to create a level surface for later floor building activities. This deposit, in particular, appears to be filling a void created by the truncation/robbing of a feature associated with block 2436.

2015-07-20 Dylan Davis

The SU is a floor preparation layer.
