it is thought that this is the base of a foundation wall, specifically due to its alignment with 2051, 2052, 2053, 2071. The interpretation of this wall is associated with SU 2259 (see SU sheet). At this point, it seems to be a retaining wall, possible first century b.c. Originally documented as a single wall (2259) but because of the difference in rock orientation and size now thought to be a separate wall. The irregular north and south wall sides further evidence this idea. During the removal of the wall, inclusions of pottery and bone were found.
